When finished, Kalvebod school in Copenhagen will not only be an exceptional construction in Denmark, but also in all of Europe. The height of solid facade construction – element – is 13 meters, covering three floors of the school.
The construction is covered with unprocessed aluminium, which is quite unusual. However, the most extraordinary detail about this project, one that has no precedent in Europe, is the extremely high facade elements.
The total facade area will be 5663 square meters and it will consist of 194 elements, each of them 13 meters long. The fitting of these elements will be three times more efficient than usual. In the centre of the school a 10.5 meters high gym hall will be located, with facade made of aluminium and glass.
Kalvebod school project, whose value exceeds 3.6 million euros, will be situated next to such gigantic buildings as Crown Plaza, Copenhagen Towers and the newly built Royal arena.
